Geothermal Plant in IcelandI will be investigating geothermal energy production for my research project.
I will be looking at issues associated with geothermal energy production such as reliability,
cost, availability, aesthetics, and sustainability. I also will be covering the pros
and cons of geothermal plants on the environment.
I will be uncovering how geothermal energy works, but more importantly
I will be comparing the pros and cons of how geothermal energy affects the environment
from a general sense to specific plants in New Zealand and Iceland. I want to reveal
if geothermal plants are more efficient and sustainable than plants that burn fossil
fuels. I would like to look at the two varying groups related to geothermal energy use. One
group stating that geothermal plants are environmentally friendly and may aid the environment,
and the other group stating that geothermal plants lead to air and thermal pollution. I will
create some type of visual display presenting my results from the two groups, as well
as my findings.
